The first 4 days of this week were windy, rainy and cold for the beginning of April.
Every day I would go out, feel the cold and complain to myself how tired I am from the long winter. “Where’s my Sun,” I would say to myself like nature cares about my wishes.
This left me with one option – check the weather forecast. It promised me exceptional weather on Friday.
Well, those four days passed pretty quickly. Today is Friday, and guess what? It was a very sunny day. However, I was not as happy as I thought I would be. When I was outside everything seemed perfect – almost no clouds, not too hot, not too cold – the ideal weather for outdoor activities. Just what I ordered.
Well, I hated it. It didn’t make me happy. It made me tired and sad. The type of sadness you experience when you finally get what you want. I guess the old rule “the chase is better than the catch” applies here.
I miss my rainy days. I miss the journey.
